Pay Per Click Advertising to survive Recession:

Everyone is concerned about staying afloat during recession.  While some businesses are panic stricken about the downward trend in the market, others are busy making strategies that will help them survive tough times.  While everyone wants to hold on to their money, advertising is inevitable.  For everyone who is looking for a bail out to survive recession, Pay Per Click advertising could be the silver lining since it is cheaper than traditional forms of advertising and generate greater conversion rates.

For those who are delighted by this piece of information and are ready to take on aggressive PPC advertising campaigns for their products and services, here are a few sure shot PPC tips that will make your PPC campaigns a hit.

• Your PPC ads should focus on low prices and savings:
It is understood that people hold on to their money during recession and would like to get more by spending less.  Cash this.
Use any words that show the customer that they stand to gain by buying your product. Say you have free shipping services.  Mention them.  If you have any discounts and special offers on specific products, let the people online know about it.
Use words like FREE, SAVE, CHEAP, UNDER $xx etc in your PPC ad and watch your CTR grow.

• Design an effective Landing Page:
Don’t redirect your PPC ads to your home page.  The customer may get lost on the sea of information the home page offers.  Also, the home page may not contain product details that the customer is looking for.
Design a landing page and include all the relevant information about your product that would interest the customer.  This is a great way to increase conversion rates.

• Use action words in your PPC ad:
Use action words in your PPC ad.  Action words do the selling.  Instead of simply informing the readers, provoke action on their part.  For example instead of having “Know about Nokia N97 features“ in your ad, you could have something that calls for action, like
Buy Nokia N97
Find Nokia N97
Purchase Nokia N97
Its even better to combine strong words like FREE SHIPPING , GUARANTEE, EASY, BEST PRICE and action words like PAY LESS, BUY NOW, ORDER NOW in the ad.  Let’s understand this with an example.
Say you are looking to buy an Apple iPhone online.  Compare the two ads.

1)Buy Apple iPhone Online
The All New Apple i pHone.Guaranteed
  Next Day Shipping.Order Now!
  www.xxxxxx.com

2)Buy Apple iPhone Online
  Apple iPhone in Stock.Order
  Online.Worldwide Shipping!
  www.xxxxxx.com

Among two ads,  ad 1) will fare far better than ad 2).  Strong words like NEW, GUARANTEED and Action words like ORDER NOW will provoke the viewer to take action.
• Use Negative Keywords:
Negative keywords can dramatically increase the sales through your PPC ads.  By adding Negative keywords in your ad, you are telling search engines which phrases your ad should not be displayed for.  For example your ad is meant to sell “Whirlpool refrigerators”, you don’t want your ad to appear when someone searches for “Used Refrigerators” or “Reconditioned Refrigerators”,  so “Reconditioned” and “Used” should be your negative keywords.
By adding negative keywords to your PPC ad, you are filtering unwanted traffic and making your ad appear only for appropriate searches.
